ChenMed: This dedicated senior medical center is a community asset to the underserved senior demographic in the USF area of north Tampa. The primary design consists of concrete masonry bearing walls and steel roof structure. The design features a large, covered entry “porch” and use of a horizontal rainscreen material to identify the Tai Chi / multi-purpose room at the northwest corner of the facility. The placement of the building and parking lot layout was designed to facilitate future expansion on the south end of the building.
